Logitech Rally Bar Huddle vs Poly Studio X32

Logitech Rally Bar Huddle and HP Poly Studio X32 are both all-in-one video bars for small meeting rooms. The deciding factors are how they sound and frame people in your room, and whether you run them as a native Teams or Zoom room or as a USB device with a laptop. Price the complete package: bar, controller, display, mount and room license.

At a glance

  • Native room mode needs a room account and license; USB mode uses the connected laptop.
  • A touch controller and mount are often separate line items.
  • Test from the farthest seat with a real remote call.

Buy for the room rather than the camera number

A wide-angle camera can include nearby participants, but that does not establish the quality of every seat. Position the camera at the proposed mounting height and check both ends of the table. Backlighting, glass walls, room noise, and the distance to the farthest person affect the result.

Use a call to another room or a remote employee for the demonstration. Local preview cannot show whether the far-end participant can hear quiet voices or whether automatic framing behaves well when people move. This guide compares published specifications, not a hands-on test.

Native room or bring-your-own laptop?

A native room system uses a room account and the supported meeting application. A USB workflow uses a connected computer. They involve different licensing, controls, cables, and employee habits, even if the same bar supports both.

Decide which experience you want before comparing bundles. A bar-only quote can look cheaper than a package containing the touch controller, mount, and room setup. Also confirm how employees join meetings from a different platform; do not assume every platform behaves as a fully native application.

Choose between Rally Bar Huddle and Studio X32 after a room-specific audio and framing check, followed by a complete package comparison. Sigma can help specify a small-room system whose hardware, licenses, and installation are priced together.

Questions to ask before you buy

  • Will the room run natively (Teams or Zoom Rooms) or through a laptop?
  • How large is the room, and how far is the farthest seat?
  • Is a touch controller, mount or room license in the quote?
  • Which meeting platforms do our customers use?

Frequently asked questions

Do video bars need a meeting-room license?

In native room mode, yes: Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms require room licensing (Teams Rooms Pro lists $40 per room per month). In USB mode, the bar uses the laptop’s meeting account.
